LAKE HART, Fla. – Masked intruders attempted to handcuff a man during a home invasion in Orange County, sheriff's officials said.
The incident happened Friday in the 9800 block of Heron Pointe Drive in Lake Hart, southeast of Orlando.
The Orange County Sheriff's Office said Wednesday that three masked assailants followed the victim into the home and forced their way in at gunpoint and tried to handcuff the man and pistol-whipped him.
Deputies continue to search for the culprits, who drove away in what was believed to be a gray Kia vehicle.
It's not known if the victim suffered any serious injuries.
Neighbor Mielym Rodriguez told News 6 the victim was injured and bleeding.

Rodriguez said the gate to the community was broken and has since been fixed after the home invasion.
"I hope that they catch these people and they never come back here," Rodriguez said, adding she will reconsider trick or treating Wednesday evening.
"You know what, I don't want to do trick or treat," she said. "I want to stay at home. It's better to be safe."
No other details have been released.
