Third victim injured in single-vehicle wreck on Fort Christmas Road

BITHLO, Fla. – Two 20-year-old men were killed and a third was injured early Thursday in a single-vehicle crash in east Orange County, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

Troopers said the fatal crash was reported after a driver lost control of a Ford Explorer on Fort Christmas Road near Lake Pickett Road.

The SUV went off the road, overturned and hit a tree, the FHP said.

The driver, identified by troopers as Thomas Stutts, of Orlando, and a passenger, identified as Justin Vail, of Winter Park, were pronounced dead at the scene.

The other passenger, Omokolap Hunpatin, of Orlando, was taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center with serious injuries, the FHP said.

The crash shut down Fort Christmas Road while troopers conducted an investigation.

It's not known if alcohol played a role in the crash, the FHP said.
