The 24th Annual Great Brevard Duck Race will be held at the newly renovated Lee Wenner Park, downtown Cocoa Village, on Saturday, April 2nd, at approximately 3:30 p.m., after the Central Florida Car Show. Ducks will be available for adoption until 3 pm on race day online at www.greatbrevardduckrace.com. We want to thank those who have adopted and if you haven’t you can still adopt a duck for only $5, to help us reach our goal online at www.greatbrevarduckrace.com.
wftv.comPub will no longer sue state after Florida bars allowed to reopen
As of Monday, when Florida bars were allowed to reopen at 50% capacity, the George & Dragon English Tavern has its liquor license and customers started to return. Co-owner Richard Lemon said it was a great feeling that he knew was coming and his bar was ready. While the Cocoa Village bar was closed, the owners estimate they lost as much as $80,000. In August, Richard Lemon said even when he’d be allowed to reopen, the bar would not withdraw its lawsuit. “We wanted to drop the lawsuit, after all, just because we want to put everything behind us and move forward with business,” Richard Lemon said.
