Disney College Program suspended until further notice
ORLANDO, Fla. – Walt Disney World has announced that it’s extending the suspension of its popular Disney College Program. The company says it is suspending the program that employs thousands of students each semester until further notice. Disney released a statement Thursday saying due to the coronavirus pandemic, it’s unclear when it will be able to reopen Disney-owned apartments where students in the program typically live. The internship program was first suspended in March when Disney closed its theme parks and hotels. Disney is expected to begin reopening its theme parks to the public on July 11.

Walt Disney World sends students packing after college program ends early
ORLANDO, Fla. – As if closing the theme parks wasn’t bad enough, students who were participating in the Disney College Program were told Saturday that their program would be ending early. This news comes days after Walt Disney World announced that it would be closing the gates to the happiest place on earth in order to slow the spread of the coronavirus. Each student will also be given a successful program completion to allow for the opportunity to pursue future roles within The Walt Disney Company. Walt Disney World theme parks are scheduled to close for the remainder of the month due to the coronavirus outbreak. The closure will mark the longest closure in Walt Disney World’s history.
