Bowser rushed for 26 yards on the opening drive – just one yard shy of last week’s 27-yard outing vs. the Bearcats. O’Keefe scored his second touchdown of the game – a 31-yard rushing touchdown – to extend the UCF lead to 21-7 with 4:59 remaining in the third quarter. Bowser finished his productive night with a game-high 110 rushing yards on 26 attempts. UCF’s defense finished the night holding the Tigers to just 77 total rushing yards on 31 attempts.

On the final play of UCF’s gut-wrenching Friday night loss against the Louisville Cardinals, Knights’ junior starting quarterback Dillon Gabriel suffered an injury to his throwing shoulder, Sports Illustrated’s Pat Forde reported. Gabriel left Cardinal Stadium with his left arm in a sling and with ice on his shoulder. The Knights’ QB received X-Rays immediately after the game, according to Forde. Gabriel finished the game completing 22-of-29 passes, throwing for 184 yards. Following a bye week, UCF will travel to Annapolis, MD to take on American Athletic Conference opponent Navy on Oct 2.
