Steelers safety Minkah Fitzpatrick will miss multiple weeks after being forced to undergo an appendectomy after the team's walkthrough on Saturday, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. Fitzpatrick had reportedly not felt well at practice, then testing revealed the need for an appendectomy as soon as possible. Fitzpatrick, a first-team All-Pro in 2019 and 2020, is obviously a big loss for the Steelers. The good news for Pittsburgh is the return of Watt, who told reporters Friday he will play against the Saints.wftv.com
NFL approves 17-game schedule and drops a preseason contest
Then, the league removed two of its preseason games and will do something similar this time. As part of the added contest, the NFL will reduce its preseason from four to three games. The network will receive a new divisional round playoff contest too. Advertising data firm MediaRadar estimated Fox alone generated approximately $2 billion in national advertising for its 2020 NFL games. The Steelers received 10 of the 12 first-place votes for 382 points in balloting Tuesday by media members who regularly cover the NFL. The Steelers improved to 7-0 for the second time in franchise history after holding off the Baltimore Ravens 28-24 on Sunday. And the Arizona Cardinals, who are coming off a bye, moved up one spot to round out the top 10.
Steelers stay perfect, blow out Mayfield, Browns 38-7
