Lin-Manuel Miranda and Ricky Martin are set to headline a news conference in Orlando Tuesday announcing a new Hispanic LGBT advocacy initiative.

Theater West End, located at 115 W. 1st St. in Sanford, announced their upcoming spring musical “In The Heights,” a Tony-award winning show originally created by Lin Manuel Miranda and Quiara Hudes.

The American Theatre Guild is set to present the Broadway musical “WAITRESS” this June at the Maxwell C. King Center for the Performing Arts in Melbourne.

It’s still hard to believe for fans of musical theater, but Broadway icon and legend Stephen Sondheim passed away over the weekend at the age of 91.

“It was always about when we come back. It was never about if,” producer Sue Frost says of the Tony-winning musical, which shut down with the rest of Broadway in March 2020 and reopens Sept. 21.
