ORLANDO, Fla. — Orange County is preparing to open a site for Hurricane Ian victims to get help buying groceries. The on-site Disaster Snap location is set to open Monday at Camping World Stadium. Happening this week: Orange County to hold Monkeypox vaccine eventsPeople at the site can apply and interview for benefits. This is for anyone who didn’t get D-Snap back in October. LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. — On the last day of the 2023 Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend, runners raced to the finish line with a cool and comfortable morning. According to a release, 59 runners who participated in every Walt Disney World Marathon were present Sunday. The New Jersey runner was the overall winner in the 2021 Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon and holds the course record in the women’s division. The half marathon was the final event of the race weekend, which included a 5K and a 10K, plus a health and fitness expo. Learn more about the 2021- 2022 #runDisney race season: — runDisney (@runDisney) June 30, 2021On Wednesday, runDisney announced that runners will be able to compete in person, running around the Florida theme park starting with the Wine & Dine Marathon Weekend scheduled for Nov. 4 through 7. There will also be events for kids at Walt Disney World, but the former runDisney kid’s races are now being called runDisney Kids Adventures and will be “focused on health, fitness and fun for kids,” the company said.

Run Disney announced Tuesday that two of its 2021 race weekends will now be held virtually. The 2021 Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend and the 2021 Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend will now both be virtual events, similar to the 2020 Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon weekend coming up this fall, according to its website. Those runners who complete the virtual race will receive a medal for their distance run and a race shirt. Additional registrations will be opened by Run Disney on Sept. 24 at 10 a.m. now that the event has gone virtual. If you registered through a charity or tour operator, Run Disney said to reach out to the organization directly.
