Kissimmee woman injured in crash with tractor-trailer in Polk County Wreck happened on SR-33 near Van Fleet Road, FHP says

POLK COUNTY, Fla. – A Kissimmee woman was seriously injured early Monday in a crash with a tractor-trailer in Polk County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Troopers said the 24-year-old woman was traveling south on State Road 33 near Van Fleet Road before 5 a.m. when she lost control of the vehicle and entered the northbound lane.

FHP said the woman’s vehicle hit a tractor-trailer nearly head-on and ended up on the shoulder of the roadway.
The driver of the tractor-trailer, a 40-year-old Tampa man, suffered minor injuries.
No other details have been released.
