Leesburg man, 21, killed in ATV crash in Lake County, FHP says

LAKE COUNTY, Fla. – A 21-year-old Leesburg man was killed Saturday evening when an ATV he was driving crashed into a pole in Lake County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The crash occurred at 5:15 p.m. in the area of Veech Road and Pruitt Street, troopers said.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene, according to a crash report.

Further details of the crash were not immediately provided, with the report questioning whether the ATV was being operated on or off of a roadway and if its driver was wearing a helmet.

FHP is still investigating the fatal crash.
