According to a crash report, two tractor-trailers were heading south on I-75 in the right lane when the pedestrian, a 63-year-old Opa Locka man, walked into the lane.

The first tractor-trailer swerved left to avoid hitting the man, but the right front struck the pedestrian, troopers said. The tractor-trailer went off the roadway toward the grass median and overturned, blocking part of the left lane.

The second tractor-trailer did not have time to avoid the man, who was still in the right lane, and hit him with the front/undercarriage section, the report said.

The man was pronounced dead on the scene.

The two drivers, a 31-year-old New York man and a 24-year-old Orlando man, were uninjured.

Lanes were shut down for the investigation but have since reopened.
