Suspect dead after shooting, chase in Orlando, police say

Police respond to Michigan Street at S Lee Avenue

ORLANDO, Fla. – A suspect is dead after Orlando police say he shot someone in the Parramore area and crashed into another car while fleeing police.

Michigan Street was shut down for hours near Interstate 4 because of the crash, which sent a bystander to the hospital as well.

Just after 1 p.m. Wednesday, police responded to a report of a shooting victim on West Church Street near Exploria Stadium.

Police say they later spotted the suspect’s vehicle in the area of 18th Street and Parramore Avenue, and the suspect drove off into the area around Michigan Street. As police pursued, they say the suspect traveled westbound in the eastbound lanes, which led to the suspect colliding with an uninvolved vehicle just west of I-4.
