PASCO COUNTY, Fla. – A 25-year-old Deltona man was killed Thursday in Pasco County when a DUI suspect crashed her vehicle into his, according to Florida Highway Patrol.

The crash happened on State Road 54 near Starkey Boulevard in the Trinity area of Pasco County. Troopers said the suspect, 30-year-old Solanch Quintanilla Coca, of Tampa, was driving a Toyota SUV when she rear-ended a Jeep Wrangler, driven by the man from Deltona, whose identity has not been released.

The impact of the crash caused the Jeep Wrangler to go off the road and overturn. Troopers said the victim was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at a nearby hospital.

Troopers said Quintanilla Coca appeared to be under the influence of alcohol — the smell of alcohol was on her breath, her eyes were bloodshot and watery, and she seemed to have trouble standing. She was arrested on DUI manslaughter charges.
