I-4 reopens after 6-vehicle crash in Lake Mary

Wreck closed I-4 west near Lake Mary Boulevard

LAKE MARY, Fla. – A six-vehicle crash blocked I-4 in Lake Mary for hours Monday morning.

The crash was reported around 8:30 a.m. on I-4 west near Lake Mary Boulevard.

Video from Sky 6 showed several vehicles, including a tractor-trailer, involved in the wreck, with debris scattered across the highway. Seminole County Fire Rescue said one of the vehicles overturned.

There were eight victims, including two who were taken to the hospital as trauma-alert patients, according to SCFR. Some were treated and released at the scene, officials said. 

Crews cleaned up fuel spills, and the interstate reopened about two hours later.

No other details, including the cause of the crash, have been released.
