Strong cold front expected to increase rain chances on Sunday in Orlando area

ORLANDO, Fla. – Expect plenty of sunshine through Friday across Central Florida, with an isolated shower or two possible due to the colliding sea breezes.

Once again, daytime highs in the Orlando area are expected to climb into the lower 80s across inland areas and the upper 70s along the coast.

Highs today

A few isolated showers are possible at night, with overnight temperatures falling into the upper 60s.

Saturday will be a very warm day, with daytime highs expected to reach 84 degrees in Orlando, which would tie the record set in 1962.

Record

Don’t get use to the warmth just yet, though, as a strong cold front is expected to travel through the area Sunday, increasing rain chances to 40% with a few storms possible.

When that cold front exits, winds will pick up and significantly cooler air will move in Sunday night, dropping overnight lows in the 40s.

We’ll begin next workweek with highs in the 60s, but it will be dry and sunny.
