ORLANDO, Fla. – High pressure is building into the southeast U.S. on Friday as much drier air filters into the Orlando area after a cold front brought severe weather to Florida.

Though winds have weakened considerably from Thursday, we are still expecting breezy conditions with gusts up to 20-25 mph.

As the plume of very dry air settles in, clouds and rain will be hard to find Friday and into the weekend.

The combination of dry and breezy weather means red flag conditions will be possible, especially north of the I-4 corridor. Any little spark could spread a fire very quickly.

Highs Friday and Saturday will be in the upper 70s to low 80, below average for this time of year.

A quick warming trend kicks into high gear early next week, with highs climbing into the low 90s by Wednesday and Thursday.
