ORLANDO, Fla. – Mostly dry conditions and scorching temperatures hang onto Central Florida for one more day before rain chances begin to rise once again.
Friday will feature a dry start with a mix of sun and clouds for the morning drive. Afternoon of isolated to spotty afternoon showers along the sea breeze are expected as it pushes inland. Coverage will top around 30% as highs hit the mid-upper 90s once again. Rain chances are better the further south you go from Seminole County.
Rain chances continue to climb through the weekend as a trough of low pressure brings a weakening cold front into the Southeast. This front will push plenty of available moisture into our atmosphere to charge up our sea breeze. Rain chances climb to 40-50% over the weekend for afternoon storms. These storms will help to bring our high temperatures back to seasonal values: into the low 90s. Heat indices will be on high from 100-107ºF.
