Here's how Central Florida first responders are going beyond the call of duty

Local law enforcement officers are going the extra mile

ORLANDO, Fla. – Each week on News 6 at Nine, News 6 likes to share some good news about Orlando-area first responders.

This week, five local agencies in Central Florida shared heartwarming stories on social media.

Seminole County Sheriff's Office first responders saved a dog that had been hit by a car and left in a road critically injured. The deputies saved this dog's life by wrapping it in a fire blanket and transporting it to an animal emergency hospital. Vader has made a full recovery.

Today we’re proud to share a story involving two of our first responders who teamed up to save a beloved pet. A dog had been hit by a car and left in the road critically injured.
