FDLE said Heltne thought he was emailing with an 11-year-old that he found on social media, but was actually emailing her mother. Investigators said the man sent inappropriate messages that the mother reported to law enforcement.

After the mother alerted the police, an undercover agent began communicating with the Heltne, records show. He sent lewd photos of himself and arranged to meet the “child” for pizza and sex, according to FDLE.

Heltne faces charges of traveling to meet a minor to engage in sexual activity, solicitation of a minor and transmitting harmful material to a minor.
