Woman shot while breaking up fight among juveniles in Orange County neighborhood

Deputies did not locate shooters

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – A woman was shot Thursday night while trying to break up a fight among juveniles in an Orange County neighborhood, according to sheriff’s officials.

Shots rang out around 8:50 p.m. at the intersection of Livewood Oaks Drive and Redwood Oaks Drive.

According to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office, a woman in her 20s saw a group of juveniles fighting in the intersection and tried to separate them when two of the juveniles pulled out guns and started shooting.

The woman was shot and suffered non-life-threatening injuries, deputies said.

Video from the scene showed crime tape blocking off a large part of the neighborhood.

The sheriff’s office did not specify the age range of the group that was fighting.

Deputies said the shooters were not located despite a search on the ground and via helicopter.
