ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – A 21-year-old Orlando man was killed after being struck by a car in Orange County, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
The crash occurred around 10:30 p.m. Saturday near the intersection of Gatlin Avenue and Evander Drive.

According to an FHP report, an 18-year-old Orlando man was driving a 2014 BMW 535i westbound on Gatlin Avenue when a pedestrian stepped off the south shoulder and attempted to cross the road.
The front of the BMW struck the man, fatally injuring him. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The pedestrian was not in a marked crosswalk when he entered the path of the vehicle, troopers said.
The driver was not injured and remained at the scene following the crash. Next of kin has been notified.
The crash is being investigated.
