The more than 20 minutes of video released by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement shows officers knocking on Rebekah Jones' door multiple times and attempting to call her before serving a search warrant Monday morning. Jones set up a video camera before letting officers in, and exclaimed that they were pointing guns at her children. But bodycam video shows her husband and children leaving the house peacefully without guns drawn. She told officers that her lawyer told her not to answer the door.

Both patrol deputies have been placed on paid administrative leave while the Florida Department of Law Enforcement investigates, which is standard procedure. TALLAHASSEE State law-enforcement officials found no evidence of fraudulent intent by the Florida Democratic Party after more than a year-long investigation into alleged vote-by-mail fraud, records show. The Florida Department of Law Enforcement on Wednesday released records tied to an investigation into Democratic Party members altering election forms at the tail end of the 2018 election cycle, which was dominated by three statewide recounts. Florida Statewide Prosecutor Nick Cox said Wednesday there was a lack of sufficient evidence to support prosecution in the case. Investigators found that three people associated with the Florida Democratic Party changed the submission deadline dates in an election form, known as a cure affidavit, which is designed to fix signature problems on vote-by-mail ballots. After the case was reported to authorities, the Democratic Party hired an investigator to conduct an internal investigation into the voter fraud allegations.

The girl told deputies she met Belger through social media and they got together a few times. On April 24, Marion County Inspector Erik Dice reviewed the Florida Department of Law Enforcement findings that matched it to the victims sexual assault kit.

FLAGLER BEACH A Palm Coast man was arrested Wednesday after police tied him to an October burglary at Sallys Ice Cream shop in Flagler Beach. A circuit judge signed his arrest warrant for the charges Tuesday and Flagler Beach police arrested Mesagaes at his Palm Coast home along Faith Lane on Wednesday afternoon. The arrest stems from an Oct. 20 commercial burglary at Sallys Ice Cream, 401 N. Oceanshore Blvd., according to a Flagler Beach police report. Mesagaes told officers the owners of the ice cream shop were family friends and hed worked there a previous summer. "This case is a perfect example of tenacity, teamwork and utilizing technology to its fullest potential," Flagler Beach Police Chief Matt Doughney said in a news release Thursday.
