ORLANDO, Fla. – The Central Florida Expressway Authority will hold an open house Thursday to discuss a planned widening of State Road 408.
The proposal would widen the East-West Expressway for 2 miles from Good Homes Road to Hiawassee Road, adding a lane in each direction.

The project is expected to cost about $17 million and will begin construction this summer before wrapping up in late 2017.
The open house will begin at 5 p.m. Thursday at Central Florida Christian Academy on Good Homes Road.
