Titusville man dies after crash with suspected DUI driver, troopers say

Bryan Keith Holifield faces several charges, including DUI manslaughter

BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. – A 20-year-old Titusville man died after being critically injured in a crash with a suspected DUI driver in Brevard County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Troopers said the crash happened on State Road 5 and Dairy Road on Sept. 25.

According to a crash report, a 2004 Toyota Sequoia driven by a 47-year-old man from Mississippi was traveling north in the southbound lane of State Road 5 when it crashed into the front left of a 2002 Mitsubishi Eclipse.

The Mitsubishi driver was airlifted to Holmes Regional Medical Center with critical injuries and died one week later, troopers said.

The driver of the Toyota, identified as Bryan Keith Holifield, was arrested and faces several charges, including DUI manslaughter.

FHP said Holifield has two times the legal limit of alcohol in his system.
