ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – Florida’s Turnpike Enterprise announced Thursday the reopening of the County Road 455 bridge over Florida’s Turnpike located in Orange County.

Crews ended up finishing ahead of schedule and were able to open up to drivers.

The reconstruction of the bridge is part of a larger project to make room for the widening of the turnpike from four to eight lanes.

They plan to widen Florida’s Turnpike’s northbound lanes, from the SR 50 interchange in Orange County to Minneola and Hancock Road in Lake County.

There are three other construction sites along the turnpike included in this project and all together they tally up to an estimated $162.3 million price tag.

All construction is expected to continue throughout 2026.
