Investigators say Gaye was drunk when he somehow started going northbound in the southbound lanes of the highway near Colonial Drive on Christmas Day in 2016.

Troopers say Gaye collided with a car head-on killing Vida Linton, who was a passenger in the car.

Gaye is charged with manslaughter and reckless driving.

He is now out of jail after posting bond.
