Hello everyone! It’s Friday … YOU MADE IT! 😃👍
I don’t know about you, but it’s been a wild week here in Central Florida. I will tell you between covering a midterm election 🗳️, a hurricane/tropical storm 🌀 and so many other things, I’m kind of tired this week, but I will survive. This week’s newsletter is going to be short and sweet. To be honest, because of all the other news in the world, the park’s themselves were a little quiet. All of the parks closed temporarily due to the storm but have since reopened. On a brighter note, the weather in the coming days looks perfect.

All right my friends, let’s get to some of the big stories for this week.
Celebrating veterans 🎖️
If you didn’t know, today is Veterans Day. The day is set aside each year to honor the men and women who have served in the U.S. armed forces. I want to personally thank all of those brave individuals who have served. THANK YOU. 🙏 If you’re a veteran and looking for a special deal at the theme parks, there is a deal out there for you. Disney, Universal, SeaWorld and even Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex all have some sort of ticket deal. 🎟️ ICON Park also has a ton of special deals across the entire entertainment complex.
Christmas celebrations
This weekend kicks off the official holiday season at the theme parks. 🎄🎄🎄
Let’s begin at SeaWorld Orlando. On select dates from Nov. 11 to Jan. 3, the park will be filled with sights, sounds and flavors for the whole family. This is one of my favorites every holiday season. Guests can see the “Sea Of Trees,” ice skate during the day, try delicious treats and see some awesome holiday shows complete with fireworks.
🎅 Over at Universal Orlando, the fun is also beginning. The mean one himself, the Grinch, is back to make sure Christmas does not come.
Guests can celebrate the holidays with a number of festivities including the return of Grinchmas, The Magic of Christmas at Hogwarts Castle and Universal’s Holiday Parade featuring Macy’s. This week, Universal shared details about the holiday Tribute Store location and some of the incredible food and drink options that will be available. Speaking of Universal, Floridians - there is a BOGO ticket deal right now! 😁
Finally, Busch Gardens Tampa Bay will also be starting their holiday celebrations.
The event is celebrating its 10th anniversary with new shows, interactive exhibits and fireworks. 🎁 And don’t forget about the food! There will be a new seasonal-menu that includes braised beef and roasted garlic smashed potato along with red curry shrimp and jasmine rice. Guests can experience Christmas Town with park admission.
Snowy slopes 🏔️
I don’t know how many of you have heard about this, but did you know that Florida has a snow tubing park? Yes, we do. ☺️ Next week, Snowcat Ridge in Dade City will open its doors for the winter season. The snow park was originally scheduled to open this weekend, but Hurricane Nicole changed that. This place has a ton of fun things to do including snow tubing down a 400-foot tall hill, an alpine village and even an igloo complete with snow to play in. ❄️ I went the first year the park opened.

That’s it for this week!
I promise to have much more for you next week.
Talk to you then -
