Post-hurricane party: Electric Daisy Carnival 2022 still on after storm hits Orlando. Here’s which roads will be closed

ORLANDO, Fla. – The city of Orlando on Friday announced which roads in the downtown area will be closed, and for how long, as this year’s Electric Daisy Carnival gets underway on Tinker Field.

Organizers offered several reassurances to ticketholders on Twitter that the event would start on time following Hurricane Nicole, which was seen to have tossed around tents and other debris across the venue space. The messaging credited Insomniac, EDC Orlando’s production team, for bringing the festival to life.

The city expects 90,000 people to attend the festival daily, drawing massive crowds “while also generating an even bigger economic impact that benefits local businesses and our Central Florida community,” a news release stated.

According to the festival’s website, EDC Orlando’s venue hours run from 1 p.m. to 12 a.m. each day. In addition to the map attached to the tweet above, the city of Orlando provided the following map of road closures surrounding the event:
