But the bigger numbers are still only about half of what travel figures were before the COVID-19 pandemic. Airlines say passengers aren’t booking months in advance right now, instead, they are watching infection trends and only planning travel a few weeks out.

The TSA say they saw less people on Saturday, only about half a million people traveled that day.

San Francisco-area airports among the worst for perimeter security

An investigation conducted by The Associated Press found that San Francisco International Airport has had the most perimeter breaches in the past decade while Mineta San Jose International Airport had the fifth-most.
