Florida rapper, 2 others arrested in violent home invasion
Splash Zanotti, Dionte Alexander-Wilcox and Antonio James are behind bars in connection with a violent home invasion in Miramar. The South Florida SunSentinel reported that a federal affidavit accuses the three men of kidnapping and conspiracy to commit kidnapping, crimes that carry a maximum penalty of life in prison if convicted. Federal authorities described Splash Zanotti, whose real name is Kejuan Brandon Campbell, as the ringleader of the group. Citing court documents, the SunSentinel reported that the terror went on for hours after the three men broke into the couple's home. A representative of the 26-year-old rapper posted a video on social media of the arrest, in which the representative asserted the rapperโs innocence.

On Thursday, Floridaโs Department of Health reported more than 13,100 new positive COVID-19 infections, the third-highest since the pandemic began. The most Florida reported was on July 11 with more than 15,000 cases, and July 15 marked the second-highest with more than 13,700 positive cases. Ron DeSantis said Florida is expected to receive 367,000 doses of the Moderna vaccine in the first round of distribution. Garbage, duck feces and continued water woes for flooded South Florida
MIRAMAR, Fla. โ Nearly a week after Tropical Storm Eta soaked South Florida, many communities are still dealing with flooding issues, News 6 partner Local 10 reported. In the Country Club Ranches community in Miramar, neighbors desperately pump water out of their flooded yards, into already overflowing canals. Some say theyโve been flooded in since last weekend, and itโs been a headache trying to get anything done about this mess. The duck feces is in the water, and we have to walk through that,โ Miami-Dade resident Colette Saunders said. โWho knows whatโs in the water,โ resident Kareen LeCorps said.
Mystery: FBI releases new images of mother who vanished in Florida
At the headquarters in Miramar, the FBI on Thursday showed images from surveillance video of the last few times Cavett was seen, which was three weeks ago. Detectives confirmed that the 21-year-old mother and her 2-year-old son were alone when they drove from Georgia in a white pickup truck south to Florida on July 24 and 25. The gas station is in the same plaza in Hollywood that the white pickup truck was found on Wednesday, July 29. Sightings of her in Hollywood, Miramar and Fort Lauderdale Beach have been confirmed. Her family is still puzzled as to why Cavett was in Florida.
Police find missing momโs truck in Florida
The announcement came on Wednesday afternoon when the 21-year-old motherโs truck was located by Miramar police in Hollywood. Miramar police find the white truck that Leila Cavett was driving, but no sign of the missing mom. Now the missing womanโs mother, sisters, brother, and other family members, including her paternal grandparents and an uncle, have arrived in South Florida. The toddler went unclaimed for more than 24-hours until word spread to Alabama where Cavettโs family recognized the toddler on social media. One of Cavettโs sisters told Local 10: โI FaceTimed her on July 17.
Sisters of missing woman seek answers after toddler found wandering alone in Florida
MIRAMAR, Fla. โ Three sisters drove from Alabama to South Florida to reunite with their 2-year-old nephew, who was found Sunday morning wandering alone in the parking lot of an apartment complex. โWe just want to know that my sister is OK,โ Gina Lewis told reporters Tuesday. The family said Cavett didn't have any known ties to South Florida. When Miramar police posted the boy's picture on social media, it went viral and his family spotted it online. Cavettโs family told reporters they last spoke to her about two weeks ago.
