ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. โ Soulful music, elegant lighting and smiling photos of two mothers and their three young children enveloped mourners Saturday at Kingdom Church as people gathered to remember the five family members. Antoinette Oliver, 30; Liza Jackson, 25; Chloe Oliver, 5; Olivia Jackson, 4; and King Oliver, 5 months old were killed in a crash on March 11 at Clarcona Ocoee Road. Two white caskets were in front of the stage with flowers and photos of the young mothers and their children. Photos of the smiling women and children offered a glimpse of the lives taken from their family and community too soon. Doneshia Green, cousins with Oliver and Jackson, struggled to put into words the devastation that losing five family members can cause.

Her son, Sincere Pierce, 18, and his friend, Angelo Crooms, 16, were killed by a Brevard County Sheriff's deputy on Nov. 13, 2020. The teenโs aunt Cynthia Byrd-Green, his adoptive mother who raised him from infancy, said she visits the gravesite at Riverview Memorial Gardens in Cocoa daily. The sheriffโs office conducted an investigation into the incident, later described as an accidental discharge from a gun carried by a 16-year-old attending the service. No one from the sheriffโs office confirmed there was a shooting until four days afterward. She said she wonโt bother contacting the sheriffโs office about the vandalism.

Deltona woman, 73, dies after being struck by SUV
DELTONA, Fla. โ A 73-year-old Deltona woman died Sunday night, a day after she was struck by an SUV in a crosswalk, deputies said. The Volusia County Sheriffโs Office said Mary Green was walking east across Saxon Boulevard at 7:35 p.m. Saturday when she was struck by the SUV, which was turning left from Normandy Boulevard. Green was airlifted to Central Florida Regional Hospital in Sanford, where she later died. Sheriffโs detectives said the intersection was dimly lit and Green was wearing dark clothing. Green was a beloved Publix employee at the 2100 Saxon Blvd.
FDLE investigating Brevard deputy-involved shooting reported in Cocoa
COCOA, Fla. โ A deputy-involved shooting was reported Friday afternoon in Cocoa but few details have been released from local or state law enforcement. The shooting happened at Stetson Drive near Exeter Drive around 1 p.m. Cocoa police said it happened within the city but it was a Brevard County deputy-involved shooting. In video obtained by News 6, a woman can be heard crying and multiple Brevard County Sheriffโs deputies and Cocoa police officers are seen around a home on Stetson Drive. โIt happened in our city so we asked FDLE to investigate as with all police shootings that occur in our jurisdiction,โ a Cocoa Police Department spokesperson said. Brevard County Sheriffโs Office officials said its crime scene unit was assisting FDLE.

Prescott set for franchise tag without long-term Dallas deal
Dak Prescott will play whatever becomes of the 2020 season under the one-year franchise tag after the Dallas Cowboys and their star quarterback couldn't agree on a long-term contract. Clubs had until Wednesday afternoon to reach multiyear deals with players given the franchise tag. Green and defensive end Yannick Ngakoue of Jacksonville haven't signed the one-year contract that goes with the tag. If so, his fate will be different than the other two QBs who have played under the franchise tag. Anthony Harris of Minnesota and Denver's Justin Simmons are set to play under the $11.4 million tag for a safety.

Sanford police said a homeowner on Garrison Drive shot Adrein Green during an attempted car burglary in the middle of the night on May 6.
