If you’re planning on spending your Sunday outside, be prepared for intense heat and limited rain relief around.

While this is a big deal, it's not entirely what you think at first glance.

Highs surge into the mid 90s again with limited rain and storm chances to lend a cooling hand. While rain chances arent zero Saturday afternoon, most will go without seeing rain. Storms start to develop mainly after lunch with the threat for stronger storms along and east of I-4 later in the afternoon and evening. The best chance for strong storms will be east of I-4, closer to the 95 corridor after 3 p.m. Storms will linger into the latter stages of the evening. A heat advisory is in effect again for Polk and Sumter counties as the heat index has the best chance to climb to 110 degrees or hotter in these areas. The heat stays elevated like this through the weekend with actual air temperatures in the mid-to-upper 90s. Air quality has moved into the unsafe for unusually sensitive groups category Friday. The haze will continue to stay in our sky courtesy of dust that has moved in from the Sahara Desert in Africa. Rain and storm chances start to increase by the end of next with temperatures staying hot over the next seven days.

With the humidity factored in it will feel more like 100-105 degrees again across most of Central Florida. That is why a heat advisory has been issued for Sumter county by the National Weather Service in Tampa. A heat advisory means that feels like temperatures will routinely be in the 105-110 degree threshold and heat-related illnesses are possible. The relatively drier atmosphere due to the dust is keeping rain chances on the lower side and allowing temperatures to heat up. Storm chances stay at 30 percent to close out the workweek.
