Crash with injuries shuts down State Road 44 in Volusia County Road is completely blocked, troopers say

DELAND, Fla. – A crash has shut down State Road 44 (New York Avenue) in west Volusia County in both directions.
The crash is in the area of S.R. 44 and Shell Road, near the St. Johns River and the Volusia-Lake county line.

There is a complete roadblock and the Florida Highway Patrol said people were hurt in the wreck.
Avoid the area if at all possible.
