The FHP said the woman was standing in the northbound lane of Goldenrod Road when a 29-year-old Casselberry woman driving a 2014 Toyota 4Runner struck her. Troopers said the driver, who stayed at the scene, did not see the woman in the road.

According to an FHP crash report, the woman was knocked to the ground and then was hit by a black car that did not stay at the scene.

The pedestrian was taken to AdventHealth East Orlando, where she was pronounced dead, the FHP said.

The driver of the 4Runner and her passenger, a 28-year-old Orlando man, were not injured.

No details about the car that left the scene have been released.

All lanes of Goldenrod Road were blocked after the crash, but the roadway was later reopened.
