U.S. Attorney for the Middle District of Florida Roger Handberg hosted special agents of the Drug Enforcement Administration and Internal Revenue Service in Orlando for a Thursday news conference to announce the takedown of members in a yearslong, California-sourced drug trafficking conspiracy.

The Flagler County Sheriff’s Office announced on Monday nine people were indicted for trafficking drugs across Central Florida, Arizona and California.

Orange-Osceola State Attorney Monique Worrell spoke about drug trafficking Monday after Osceola County Sheriff Marcos Lopez called out the state for its lack of prosecution of these cases last week.

Orange County Sheriff John Mina and the Metropolitan Bureau of Investigation on Thursday announced 35 arrests made during a recent multi-agency drug trafficking case involving Puerto Rico, the U.S. Postal Service and “hundreds of kilos of cocaine.”

Thirteen people were arrested as suspects of a drug trafficking organization that distributes fentanyl and cocaine, according to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office.

The recent arrest of a 23-year-old man for a deadly shooting during a home invasion is also connected to the investigation of a dogfighting and drug trafficking ring, according to the Brevard County Sheriff's Office.

OCALA, Fla. – Ocala police say methamphetamine, cocaine, heroin, marijuana and more were seized as they dismantled a drug trafficking operation that was distributing illegal substances throughout the city. Records show the investigation began in April and led authorities to realize that Lloyd Kinsler, 40, was trafficking cocaine, crack cocaine, methamphetamine and fentanyl from a home on 3rd Avenue. Both men are accused of moving large quantities of methamphetamine, cocaine and marijuana. This longterm investigation identified drug traffickers that were manufacturing and distributing large quantities of narcotics throughout the streets of our county and city. The suspects are facing numerous charges, including drug trafficking and possession.
