The FHP said a dark-colored sedan was traveling south on Dean Road when it struck the man, who was either walking with a bicycle or riding it. The car then fled the scene, troopers said.

The man was taken to AdventHealth East, where he was pronounced dead, according to the FHP.

The FHP said troopers located a vehicle that has damage consistent with the crash, but the owner of the home where the car was found is not cooperating with law enforcement officers. The FHP said the alleged driver of the damaged car is also not talking to troopers.

Witnesses to the crash are encouraged to contact the FHP.

No other details have been released.
