Trooper Steve On Patrol discusses golf cart laws in Florida

Orlando Commissioner Robert Stuart joins Trooper Steve

ORLANDO, Fla. – This year has had a lot of change when it comes to laws in Florida, and that does not leave our traffic department untouched.

Throughout Central Florida, there are many communities that are “golf-cart friendly.”

Some communities have designated travel lanes within roadways, while in others it’s just accepted that a golf cart is a mode of transportation within a certain area.

I will bet that you have probably questioned the passengers and driver of a golf cart before. What do I mean by this? Too often we see extremely young individuals operating these golf carts without understanding the dangers -- or the laws being broken.

Trooper Steve On Patrol on Monday welcomed Orlando Commissioner Robert Stuart into Results-1 to talk about the new laws and the education and enforcement planning the city will be doing when it comes to golf carts.
