Central Florida is getting a brand new major theme park, and while there’s much excitement surrounding Epic Universe, Universal Orlando’s competitors are looking to get a piece of the pie this summer.

Fun Spot America Orlando will be a bright spot in March as the park is set to launch an exclusive, one-night-only drone show.

Whether it’s for a date or a day out, Fun Spot America has a “be mine” deal for Valentine’s Day.

For some, a Central Florida theme park is the perfect place to ring in the New Year.

Halloween is going to be huge at Fun Spot America in October.

The attraction was closed in August after the boy fell 20 feet to the ground while riding the roller coaster.

The Osceola County Sheriff's Office released body camera videos showing deputies responding to Fun Spot in Kissimmee on Friday after a 6-year-old boy fell from a rollercoaster at the theme park.

One 911 caller explained that the boy appeared to fall several feet, ending with the boy being injured.

ORLANDO, Fla. – You will soon have the chance to feel like a superhero flying through the sky. Fun Spot America said Thursday that it will introduce Sky Hawk to its Orlando park next month. The swing will make 10 revolutions per minute as its tower lights up in purple, magenta, yellow and orange. Disney World told News 6 it’s not hiring for seasonal workers this year. It’s why this year he said he’s not able to hire seasonal workers like he usually does. While the company couldn’t provide exact hiring totals for Central Florida, each store and distribution center in the area will be hiring seasonal team members, according to Target. ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – Fun Spot near International Drive has been put on notice three times in the past few months after strike teams found that guests weren’t always wearing masks while at the amusement park, according to records provided by Orange County. The first strike team visit occurred on Aug. 13 after a citizen complaint. Orange County has had a mask mandate in place for months to stop the spread of COVID-19. While strike teams have been visiting businesses to make sure they’re complying with that rule, the focus has been on educating rather than fining or punishing, according to the mayor. News 6 has contacted Fun Spot for comment.

In the past month, Orange County strike teams designed to make sure that local businesses are following coronavirus guidelines have been busy performing inspections and what theyve found is that most establishments are in compliance. Of the 69 businesses that were visited twice, 57 were in compliance by the time the strike team visited the second time while 12 were still not in compliance. ORLANDO, Fla. – Some of Orange County’s smaller attractions said they have strong guidelines in place for keeping guests safe, and they want to open by the end of the week. Leaders from Fun Spot America, Gatorland and Icon Park presented their plans to the Orange County Economic Recovery Task Force on Monday. “Our priority is number one the customer’s safety comes first,” said Chris Jaskiewicz with Icon Park. “Keep things clean and keep people healthy.”All three parks have been closed amid the coronavirus pandemic. “Our goal is to seek approval from the task force and from Mayor Demings and open our park this Saturday, May 23,” said Mark McHugh with Gatorland.
