Defense attorney Michael Winkleman has said Anello would serve probation in his home state. Anello was aboard the Royal Caribbean Cruises’ Freedom of the Seas ship with family in July 2019 when the death occurred.

Coronavirus: Royal Caribbean taking temperature of all cruise passengers before setting sail
If a guest’s temperature is above 100.4°F (38° C), the passenger and their party will undergo a secondary health screening, according to the cruise line. Carnival Cruise Lines also implemented screen procedures prior to guests boarding, including taking passengers’ temperatures. Passenger dies on Carnival’s Horizon ship during cruise
An investigation is underway after a passenger died while the Carnival Horizon was returning to port in Miami, officials said. Carnival Cruise Line confirmed via email Monday that the passenger died Friday. The cruise line said it is cooperating with the standard law enforcement investigation. The name of the passenger and other details about the death haven’t been released. The cruise line said it is continuing to provide support to the passenger’s family.
