Choose your view: News 6 offers several livestreams of SpaceX, NASA launch
CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. โ As SpaceX and NASA prepare to send four astronauts to the International Space Station, News 6 is offering multiple views of the historic launch. Nearly 15 livestreams are available Sunday at ClickOrlando.com/spaceview ahead of the 7:27 p.m. liftoff from Launchpad 39A at Kennedy Space Center. The livestreams include views from Kennedy Space Center, Port Canaveral and Max Brewer Bridge, along with feeds from NASA and SpaceX, and forecast updates from the News 6 weather team every 30 minutes leading up to launch. Jetty Park adds rules, restrictions during reopening
The Canaveral Port Authority has followed suit and begun a phased re-opening of Jetty Park, which will include new guest requirements and new rules for visitors. Jetty Park parking will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily. Access to Jetty Park beach and fishing pier parking will be limited to current Jetty Park annual passholders only. Officials said anyone planning a trip to Jetty Park should be monitoring their own temperatures and health symptoms before arriving. Jetty Park is known for crowds as one of the Space Coast's most popular places to watch a rocket launch.
Kilo of cocaine washes ashore near Jetty Park
BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. โ A kilo of cocaine washed ashore near Jetty Park Monday morning, according to the Brevard County Sheriffโs Office. Recently, it also happened in Cocoa Beach just a few miles away. Around the time of Hurricane Dorian, Cocoa Beach police said kilos of cocaine washed up. The Sheriffโs Office said Mondayโs one kilo is worth about $30,000. โItโs a moneymaker for somebody so somebody needs to get the drugs here for consumption, unfortunately,โ beachgoer Frank Hendrickson said.
