ELEVATE Orlando hosts virtual scholarship forum for students, parents
ORLANDO, Fla. – It’s never too early to prepare for college, and ELEVATE Orlando is partnering with local organizations to host a virtual scholarship forum for parents and students to help foot the bill. The free event will take place via Zoom on Tuesday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.ELEVATE Orlando focuses on mentoring and guiding the City Beautiful’s urban youth with the goal of preparing students for the future. They’re partnering with the United Negro College Fund to fulfill its mission. The event will feature presentations on financial literacy, applying for FAFSA and scholarships and give students the opportunity to meet representatives from colleges and universities across the country. Event attendees will only be visible on camera when meeting with campus representatives.

College players dismissed from team over party that led to 29 COVID-19 cases
A Kentucky university kicked three soccer players off its team and suspended three for having a party. It was later traced as the source of spread for 29 COVID-19 cases. That led to the school's men's and women's soccer teams, field hockey team and volleyball team canceling workouts. The three students kicked off the team had prior violations. Members of the impacted sports teams who do not test positive and have not been identified through contact tracing may resume team workouts Monday.

International students must leave country if classes taught only online, ICE says
Thousands of international students pursuing higher education in the U.S. may have to leave if their colleges go to online-only classes. The U.S. Department of State says it will not issue visas to students enrolled in schools that are fully online for the fall semester. In response to coronavirus, Harvard is going to deliver all course instruction online in the fall. Other universities are following suit, which creates a challenge for many pursuing their degrees in the U.S. from foreign countries. In some circumstances, some exchange or foreign students may not be able to study in the U.S. or return home.
