US Air Force Thunderbirds soar into Sanford ahead of weekend air show
SANFORD, Fla. โ Some of the best pilots in the world are in Central Florida this week. The world famous U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds soared into Orlando Sanford International Airport on Monday. The team will be the headliners of the Lockheed Martin Space and Air Show at the airport this Saturday and Sunday. Officials say one member of the team, Major Zane Taylor, is from the Orlando area and this weekendโs show will be his first over his hometown. General admission tickets range from $48.75 to $195.
President Trump cancels trip to Sanford after testing positive for coronavirus

John Jochem drove up from the Florida Keys for the event, slept in his car overnight Thursday, and woke to the news of the presidentโs positive coronavirus test. The presidentโs positive COVID-19 result came after a White House top aide, Hope Hicks, tested positive for the respiratory illness.
Preps underway for President Donald Trumpโs rally at Sanford airport
SANFORD, Fla. โ Crews are preparing for President Donald Trumpโs next campaign stop at the Orlando Sanford International Airport. He said this marks his 122nd Trump rally. โWe will welcome the president with open arms to come to the Sanford airport and have his rally.โZembower said the countyโs mask mandate is still in place and Trumpโs campaign is aware. Sanford police, airport police and the Seminole County Sheriffโs Office are providing security for the rally but not sharing specific details. โI care about how he cares about my country and he truly, truly loves America and he wants to keep it America,โ she said.
