Restaurants scramble to reopen in most of Florida
MIAMI, Fla. โ As restaurants in many Florida cities prepare to re-open on Monday under new pandemic rules set by Gov. Restaurants in all but three South Florida counties can reopen inside dining rooms at 25% capacity. In Lee County, for example, officials are allowing restaurants to place tables and seating in areas not previously allowed, such as parking lots. Florida is saying no condos can be rented, but restaurants can be open. The governorโs order said retail and store-front businesses can reopen, but only if the local government allows it.

Customers at Tybee Islandโs Sand Bar have been stapling dollar bills to the walls for years but as business dried up due to the coronavirus, owner Jennifer Knox took matters into her own hands. Knox decided to take down the dollar bills one-by-one and give the cash to her employees. How โghost kitchensโ are changing the restaurant industry
ORLANDO, Fla. โ When ordering take-out you probably assume the food that's delivered comes from the restaurant you ordered from, but that's not always the case. With the popularity of food delivery service apps, like Uber Eats, Postmates and DoorDash, more and more restaurants are preparing food in off-site facilities known as ghost kitchens. Orlando-based Red Lobster announced it will soon operate a number of ghost kitchens around the country, with the first expected to be somewhere in the Midwest. Orlando won't have any ghost kitchens in Red Lobster's initial batch of locations, but Lopdrop said there will be locations here in the future.
