The Polk County Sheriff’s Office is seeking a 72-year-old man who went missing on Sunday. Deputies are looking for Michael Swain, who drove away from his residence on Nicholson Drive in Davenport in a Gray 2019 Dodge Journey with Florida license plate number EXU6, deputies said. Swain has dementia, schizophrenia, hasn’t taken prescribed medication since Saturday and hasn’t driven a vehicle in five years, deputies said. A 19-year-old man was killed following a shooting in Polk County, according to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies took into custody Brian Medeiros after an incident that happened at the Landing at Four Corners apartment complex that resulted in the death of Devyne Pritchett, deputies said. Medeiros then fled to his third-floor apartment to tell his roommate, Judd said. Medeiros then grabbed a gun from his car, and after confronting Pritchett on a stairwell, and shot him multiple times, Judd said. Pritchett then stumbled upon the stairwell died, according to Judd.
