New menu items are brewing at Chick-fil-A
Chick-fil-A wants you to eat more chocolate. The fast-food chain is adding a brownie and two new coffee drinks to its menu. Chick-fil-A postpones Cow Appreciation Day amid coronavirus pandemic
Cow Appreciation Day is moo-ving. Chick-fil-A announced it is postponing its annual bovine tribute because of coronavirus. Since 2005, the chicken chain has celebrated Cow Appreciation Day where it gives free food to people who dress up like cows. The holiday has typically been held in July. No new date has been announced, but Chick-fil-A says it’s postponed until people can gather and celebrate in person.
Chick-fil-A is launching a meal kit as more people eat at home
While you may not be able to eat in the restaurant just yet, Chick-fil-A has you covered during the coronavirus pandemic. The fast-food chain has a new meal kit for customers to buy and reheat at home. It's a chicken parmesan kit for two that costs $14.99 and can be delivered or ordered at the drive-thru. The kit includes two breaded filets, marinara sauce, cheese and a side of creamy garlic and lemon pasta. Chick-fil-A is also offering “family meal” deals which includes 30 chicken nuggets and a gallon of their sweet tea.

Chick-fil-A restaurants nationwide will temporarily close its dining rooms in an effort to reduce COVID-19 exposure through social distancing. Some of our restaurants may only offer service through our drive-thrus, while others may be able to offer takeout, delivery or mobile order options. We know these are challenging times, but we’ll continue to do our best to serve you.”Customers can still purchase items by using the restaurants’ drive-throughs, takeout, delivery or mobile order options, according to Chick-fil-A. Taco Bell closed its dining rooms and moved to drive-thru only.
Chick-fil-A will start selling bottles of its signature sauce
Chick-fil-A sauce lovers, rejoice! Chick-fil-A is entering the grocery business with bottles of its signature and Polynesian sauces, CNN reports. Starting in April, the 16-ounce bottles will be sold in Florida at Publix, Target, Walmart and Winn-Dixie stores. It’s the first time that Chick-fil-A will sell its products in retail stores, CNN reports. All proceeds from the bottle sales will go to Chick-fil-A’s scholarship fund for employees.
Fish sandwich back at Chick-fil-A in time for Lent
Chick-fil-A announced its restaurants will add a fish sandwich made of cod back to the menu through Saturday, April 11. This addition comes back just in time for those participating in Lent, a tradition the restaurant started in 2016. Fish will be available in a traditional sandwich with two portions of fish or as a deluxe sandwich with tomato, lettuce and American cheese. Customers can also order a boxed two- and three-count fish entrée meal that is served with waffle fries. Fish will only be available at select locations, so check with local restaurants before arriving.
