A fiery, rollover crash caused a major traffic jam Friday morning into downtown Orlando. The three-vehicle wreck was reported before 7 a.m. on I-4 west near Lee Road. If you normally head westbound on the Interstate at the Lee Road entrance, crews suggest drivers use the Fairbanks Avenue entrance. FDOT suggested any driver who usually gets off the westbound exit of Fairbanks Avenue to get off at Princeton Street. The driver should head north on Mills Avenue until they hit Fairbanks Avenue.
Man killed in crash on Lee road in Orange County
ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. A man was killed in a crash in the area of Lee Road and Davisson Avenue in Orange County on Friday afternoon, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. FHP said the single-vehicle crash occurred around 2:10 p.m. and the vehicle hit pole. Investigators said the driver was rushed to the local hospital and died at the hospital. The name of the victim has not been released at this time. We will update this story as more information becomes available.
I-4 Ultimate closes Lee Road on-ramp, Fairbanks off-ramp for temporary lane shift

Hereโs how to navigate the latest I-4 traffic shift at Maitland Boulevard
Many drivers missed the latest shift at Maitland Boulevard causing backups along I-4 between Lee Road and State Road 436 as motorists attempted to make a U-Turn at SR 436, according to FDOT. Beginning Wednesday morning, drivers exiting eastbound I-4 to westbound Maitland Boulevard (exit 90B) will begin that shift approximately a quarter of a mile sooner, coupled with the exit point to eastbound Maitland Boulevard (exit 90A). The new combined eastbound exit ramp splits to provide access to both directions of Maitland Boulevard. Eastbound I-4 exit is now in its final configuration and access to eastbound and westbound Maitland Boulevard will remain combined on the same ramp. However, be on the lookout for additional shifts of I-4 ramps at the Maitland interchange, according to FDOT.
