ORLANDO, Fla. – Comic book and movie fans will have to adjust some plans as MegaCon Orlando recently announced it’s pushing its event back a few months. Initially scheduled for March 2021, event organizers announced Wednesday MegaCon will now take place in August. However, your friendly neighborhood MEGACON Orlando squad also secured back-up dates, just in case. For hotel reservations, MegaCon says ticketholders who have reserved rooms with one of their partnering hotels should contact them regarding personal plans. Even newer dates now published on the Orange County Convention Center's website Wednesday night indicated the popular event could be moved yet again, to much later in the year. That sure looks like a new date for MegaCon. (The new Limited Edition attendance limit was lowered to 25,000. In February, they added the voice actors behind "Halo" and "Super Mario Bros."Some of the scheduled stars had been rebooked for June, with MegaCon releasing artwork promoting the newer June dates.

The event, which had been scheduled for April 16-19, will now be held June 4-7 at the Orange County Convention Center. According to MegaCon’s website, all purchased tickets have been automatically transferred to the new dates. If you’ve already printed your e-ticket, please print your updated e-ticket,” a message on the site said. “If you’re unable to attend on the new dates, don’t worry.
’Karate Kid’, ‘Harry Potter’ and ‘The Boys’ stars added to MegaCon Orlando
ORLANDO, Fla – It’s down to the final weeks before the southeast’s largest fan convention returns to the Orange County Convention Center. On Wednesday, leaders said Matthew Lewis, who played Neville Longbottom in the “Harry Potter” films, will attend on Saturday and Sunday. “Karate Kid” stars Ralph Macchio, Martin Kove, and William Zabka were announced last week along with stars from Amazon’s “The Boys,” Karl Urban, Jessie T. Usher and Antony Starr. With growing fears from the coronavirus, several large conventions at the Orange County Convention center have cancelled recent events. MegaCon said on its website that the convention will go on as planned with a variety of extra precautionary health and safety measures.
’Arrow’ cast members coming to MegaCon Orlando
MegaCon Orlando added three stars from the hit CW show and DC comics “Arrow” to the fan event this April. Fans will have the opportunity to meet Stephen Amell, on Saturday only, Katherine McNamara, on Saturday and Sunday, and Ben Lewis, on all three days of MegaCon. According to entertainment website IMDB, the show is based around the story of spoiled billionaire playboy Oliver Queen. He returns to Star City to fight crime, a hooded vigilante, after five years of being presumed dead and lost at sea. The three actors join a long list of celebrities already announced for this year’s event, which will also include panels, workshops and shops for fans to enjoy.

ORLANDO, Fla – Mena Massoud is flying into MegaCon Orlando this year. The Canadian actor is best known for playing the lead role in Disney’s 2019 live-action “Aladdin,” and playing Tarek Kassar in Amazon’s “Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan." According to the MegaCon’s website, Massoud will be making appearances at the convention on April 18 and 19. He will also be available for autographs and photo ops. Tickets are on sale now.

ORLANDO, Fla. – Were you saved by the bell? The cast of the hit 90s sitcom “Saved by the Bell” are getting back together at MegaCon Orlando this April. Stars Mark-Paul Gosselaar, Mario Lopez and Elizabeth Berkley will be making appearances and giving autographs and photos to fans. “Saved by the Bell,” which first aired in 1989, followed a group of friends who navigate through high school exams, relationships and breakups. MegaCon Orlando runs April 16 to 19 at the Orange County Convention Center.
