‘They shot up the wrong house’: 3 injured in drive-by shootings at Florida homes
POLK COUNTY, Fla. — Three people were injured Monday in a pair of drive-by shootings in two unincorporated areas of a Central Florida county, authorities said. Judd said the first shooting occurred at about 2:52 a.m. EST in the Highland Park Manor subdivision, according to the television station. The sheriff told reporters that deputies found 59 spent casings from two different weapons. The second shooting occurred at around 3:09 a.m. EST in the Lake Pierce Ranchettes subdivision, Judd told reporters. “They shot up the wrong house,” Judd told reporters.

Marshals Service and the Puerto Rico Police Department. He is currently being held in Puerto Rico and will be extradited to Polk County.

Brothers charged in 21-year-old’s slaying after victim found in orange grove
Danne Frazier was found dead last week in an orange grove off Helicopter Road in Lake Wales, according to the sheriff’s office. On Saturday, both brothers were taken into custody in Lake Wales by Polk County deputies. According to the arrest affidavit, Jo and Angel Lobato attacked the victim, choking him and hitting him with a bat. The suspects told detectives they cut Frazier with a knife before leaving his body in an orange grove. Both suspects were booked into the Polk County Jail on first-degree murder and ordered held without bail.
Florida man brings child with him during crimes to ‘toughen him up,’ deputies say
POLK COUNTY, Fla. – A Florida man brought an 8-year-old boy with him as he committed a series of crimes because he wanted to “toughen him up” so the child wouldn’t become “soft,” according to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office. He refused to pull over for a traffic stop in Lake Wales but a law enforcement helicopter unit was able to locate him behind a residence in the area, records show. “Taking a child out with you while (you’re) committing felonies is not the proper way to create a positive influence. I’m quite confident that there is not a child psychologist out there who would agree with this guy’s idea of proper activity for a child,” Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd said.
