Chief Executive Niels B. Christiansen told The Associated Press that the “super strong results” were thanks to strategic investments made years ago to move more sales online. Consumer sales grew by double digits in all regions, with especially strong growth in China, the Americas, Western Europe and Asia Pacific. The push to online sales helped offset disruption to business from the pandemic restrictions.
Lego thieves stole $800 worth of kits from Sanford Target, police say
Sanford police say they are searching for two Lego thief suspects. SANFORD, Fla. – Sanford police announced Tuesday they’re working to track down a pair of Lego thieves who took off with $800 worth of blocks, according to the department. Officers said they’re not playing when it comes to tracking down the two who took the toys. Detectives believe the Lego kits they took are valued at $829.92. They’re asking anyone who recognizes the pair to call the Sanford Police Department.

Lego to ditch plastic bags for paper ones in its boxed sets
NEW YORK – Lego said Tuesday that it will stop using plastic bags inside its boxed sets and replace them with paper ones. The Danish toymaker said it will start making the switch next year and expects plastic bags to be completely phased out in the next five years. The bags are used to hold loose bricks in boxed sets. About 2% of its pieces, such as Lego trees and bushes, are made of sugar cane,Lego said kids wrote the company asking it to drop the plastic bags. The paper bags, which are recyclable, are easier for kids to open, the company said.
Lego Star Wars special coming to Disney+
A new special called "The Lego Star Wars Holiday Special" is set to premiere on the streaming platform. According to StarWars.com, its set to take place right after the events of the last film Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.In the special, Lego Rey leaves her friends to prepare for "life day." Legoland announces reopening date after receiving governor’s approval
WINTER HAVEN, Fla. – Legoland Florida Resort announced Friday that it will officially reopen to guests on June 1. The news comes days after Legoland Florida executives presented their reopening plan to Winter Haven city commissioners.
