Man killed in hit-and-run on Orange Avenue in Orlando
ORLANDO, Fla. – A pedestrian was struck and killed Thursday morning in Orlando, prompting police to close Orange Avenue. The fatal wreck happened near Orange and Pineloch avenues, south of Michigan Street. Investigators say Holmes was crossing South Orange Avenue from west to east when a vehicle, traveling southbound struck the pedestrian and left the scene. Southbound Orange Avenue was closed at Michigan Street, and Orange Avenue was closed in both directions at Pineloch and Southgate Commerce Boulevard. Orange Avenue was reopened around 10:30 a.m., police said.

SANFORD, Fla. – Sanford police on Monday said they’re searching for a driver and vehicle in a hit-and-run crash that left a man seriously injured. The crash happened around 8 p.m. Thursday just south of French Avenue and 25th Street. Police said the man was crossing eastbound French Avenue when a northbound car struck him. Hit-and-run crash leaves 1 woman dead, Clermont police say
CLERMONT, Fla. – Police are investigating a hit-and-run that left a great grandmother of nine dead, according to the Clermont Police Department. According to Clermont Police, Diane Craig, 74, was hit by a car while trying to cross State Road 50 at Grand Highway at about 6:17 p.m. Saturday night. “We wanted to try and save her because you know, she impacted everybody’s life,” said her granddaughter Brandi Simmons, in tears Monday morning. I know they probably didn’t know what happened, who knows what their situation, but I already know that she forgives them,” Simmons said. “I just want them to come forward and let us know what happened.
UPDATE: Arrest made in hit-and-run crash in The Villages that left bicyclist injured
THE VILLAGES, Fla. – An Orange Springs man is facing charges in connection with a hit-and-run crash that left a bicyclist injured in The Villages last week, according to an update from the Florida Highway Patrol. Troopers said the bicyclist suffered serious injuries. Troopers later determined 59-year-old William Joseph Croop was the driver of the Jaguar involved in the crash. Croop was arrested and charged with leaving the scene of a crash with serious injuries. An update on the condition of the bicyclist was not immediately available.
Pedestrian killed in hit-and-run near Orlando country club
ORLANDO, Fla. – A pedestrian was killed Monday night in a hit-and-run near an Orlando country club, police said. The fatal crash was reported around 8:45 p.m. Monday on Curry Ford Road at Woodgate Boulevard near the Ventura Country Club. CLERMONT, Fla. – Clearmont police is searching for a driver involved in a Monday hit-and-run crash. Officers say the driver struck the pedestrian at approximately 11:30 p.m. by West S.R. The pedestrian was taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center with possible life-threatening injuries, according to a Clermont Police Department release.
